VISIT OF THE MALIAN PRESIDENT TO ABIDJAN PORT

His Excellency Ibrahim Boubacar KEITA, President of the Republic of Mali arrived in Côte d’Ivoire on Thursday 10th May 2018 on a 48 hour state visit.
The Malian Head of State was the illustrious guest of Abidjan Port Authority in the morning of Friday 11th May 2018.
He was welcomed by His Excellency Daniel Kablan DUNCAN, Ivorian Vice President, accompanied by Mr.Amédé KOUAKOU, Minister of Economic Infrastructure, Mr.Francois Albert AMICHIA, Ministry of Sport and Leisure activities and also Mayor of Treichville Commune , Mr.KANTE Koly , Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abidjan Port Authority ( PAA) and Mr.Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority.
In his welcome address, the Minister of Transport represented by, Mr.Amédé KOUAKOU, his colleague of Economic Infrastructure expressed the delight and pride that the Abidjan Port Community got out of welcoming the Malian’s President as follows: “your Excellency Mr.President, it is the very first time that a President of the Republic of Mali set foot on the ground of Abidjan Port. Today is therefore a great day for Abidjan Port and this visit which is an event to remember, shows your committment to the historic relationship between Côte d’Ivoire and Mali and also the sign of emotional ties between you and His Excellency, Mr.Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.”
The visit was the occasion for Mr.Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority to tell the story of Abidjan Port, but also to make a presentation of its development projects which will make it a leading port on the Atlantic Coast of Africa.
As for the Malian President, he expressed his enthusiasm and his satisfaction about the good cooperation between Abidjan Port Authority and Mali through the Malian economic operators
