THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY AND THE ASSOCIATION OF CEMENT PRODUCERS OF CÔTE D’IVOIRE CONSOLIDATE THEIR PARTNERSHIP

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ, received in audience, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, a delegation from the Association of Cement Producers of Côte d’Ivoire (APCCI), led by Mr. Yvan ZARKA, Deputy Managing Director of Prestige Ciment.

This meeting formed part of the Abidjan Port Authority’s commitment to maintaining continuous dialogue with stakeholders of the Port Community and economic operators, in order to support the development of strategic sectors of the national economy.

The discussions focused on several issues of common interest relating to the cement industry and prospects for strengthening cooperation between the Abidjan Port Authority and industrial operators in the sector.

On this occasion, Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ welcomed this consultative approach and reaffirmed the Port Authority’s commitment to continuing its efforts to support economic operators.

Both parties agreed to maintain a permanent framework for dialogue in order to identify operational constraints, examine areas for improvement, and implement coordinated actions aimed at enhancing the performance and competitiveness of the Port of Abidjan platform.

At the conclusion of the meeting, APCCI representatives, through Mr. Yvan ZARKA, expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the discussions and commended the availability of the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority in maintaining constructive dialogue with stakeholders in the cement industry.
