NEW STOPOVER OF THE SEVEN SEAS VOYAGER CRUISE SHIP AT THE ABIDJAN PORT
On Monday, June 16, 2025, the Abidjan Port welcomed a new stopover of the Seven Seas Voyager cruise ship, arriving from Takoradi (Ghana) with 1,070 people on board, including 620 passengers and 450 crew members.
This stop comes just a few months after a previous visit on November 20, further confirming the renewed interest of the ultra-luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises in Côte d’Ivoire as a destination.
Built in Italy and commissioned in 2003 from the Port of Monte Carlo, the vessel was renovated in 2010. It measures 206.6 meters in length, 28.8 meters in width, with a draft of 7.1 meters, and features 353 suites offering a high level of comfort.
This stop is part of a tourist itinerary designed to showcase Côte d’Ivoire’s most iconic sites. It underscores the growing appeal of the Abidjan Port platform for international cruise lines and the quality of its reception infrastructure.
As part of the itinerary, passengers visited several cultural and historical sites such as the Treichville Artisan Village, the Museum of Civilizations of Côte d’Ivoire, Saint Paul’s Cathedral in Plateau, the National Costume Museum in Grand-Bassam, the Bingerville Botanical Garden, and local beaches. This cultural and natural immersion highlights the diversity and richness of Ivorian heritage.
The frequent presence of cruise ships of this scale represents a great opportunity to boost tourism and economic activity, and helps position Côte d’Ivoire as a leading maritime destination in West Africa.
