STRENGTHENING ECONOMIC RELATIONS: THE PORT OF ABIDJAN RECEIVES A DELEGATION OF FRENCH ENTREPRENEURS

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORÉ, received in audience, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, a delegation from the "Club des Bâtisseurs" of the Bordeaux Region (France), led by its President, Mr. Yannick KWETCHOUA.

The Club des Bâtisseurs is a network bringing together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and experts committed to promoting economic exchanges, innovation, and the development of business partnerships between territories. Based in the Bordeaux region, the organization works to strengthen synergies among economic stakeholders through trade missions, business meetings, and initiatives designed to support companies in their international expansion.

This meeting took place within the framework of an economic prospecting mission conducted in Côte d’Ivoire by the organization. It aimed to explore cooperation opportunities and gain a better understanding of investment and partnership prospects.

The delegation, which also included representatives of companies specializing in technological, digital, and environmental solutions, held discussions with the General Management of the Abidjan Port Authority on several strategic topics, including innovation, digital transformation, operational traceability, logistics chain optimization, operational fluidity, and sustainable development challenges.

These discussions highlighted the modernization and competitiveness ambitions pursued by the Port of Abidjan while opening the door to partnership opportunities in high value-added sectors. They notably revealed a mutual interest in developing collaborations capable of supporting the transformation of the Abidjan Port Authority and strengthening its position as a leading logistics and port hub in West Africa.

This audience reflected the Abidjan Port Authority’s determination to continue opening its ecosystem to international expertise and to promote strategic partnerships that contribute to the performance, innovation, and sustainable development of its activities.
