A SPANISH PATROL BOAT IN ABIDJAN PORT

On Monday 31 May 2021, Colonel COFFI YAO, Director of Maritime Operation, Security and Environment in Abidjan Port Authority granted an audience to Captain Diego MEIJAD MENDOZA, Captain of the FUROR, a Royal Spanish Navy ship.
The arrival of this patrol boat, which will stay in Abidjan Port up to Sunday 6 june 2021, is part of military cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and the kingdom of Spain
Captain MENDOZA, which was accompanied by Mrs Monica DESCALLAR RUSPOLI, First Counselor, Spanish Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire, stated that his country gives priority to security in fighting piracy at sea in the Golf of Guinea.
