ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY TOOK PART IN THE 9TH AFRICITIES SUMMIT IN KENYA

From 17 to 21 may 2022, Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) participated in the work of the 9th Africities summit which took place in Kisumu, Kenya on the << role of intermediary cities in the implementation of 2030 agenda of the United Nations and the African Union 2063 agenda >>

His Excellency Mr. UHURU KENYATTA, President of The Republic of Kenya presided over the opening ceremony.

 

This continental gathering was attended by nearly 8000 African and international delegates including ministers , mayors and presidents of cities and territorial authorities , representatives of central and regional administrations and experts on the subject , which made it possible to review available knowledge and experiences  gained all over the world on the subject of intermediary cities .

The Ivorian delegation was led by Mr DANHO Claude Paulin, Minister of Sports and Mayor of Attecoubé (in the district of Abidjan) and also President of Cities and Municipalities Union in Cote d’ivoire (UVICOCI)

 

Let’s note that Mr. Hien Yacouba  SIE , Member of Parliament and Mayor of Adiaké district ( south- east of Cote D’ivoire) and  Managing Director of PAA and is the Vice President of UVICOCI .

 

Friday 20 may, 2022 was dedicated to Cote d’ivoire, and on that occasion, Mrs. DIABY Assetou, Head of the PAA’s Commercial Department made a presentation of Abidjan port, its traffics and projects.
