ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY, PARTNER OF THE 8th EDITION OF AFRICA CEO FORUM

The opening ceremony of the gathering of the African private sector, AFRICA CEO FORUM, took place on Monday June 12, 2022 at Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in the presence of his Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire and his counterpart from Ghana, his Excellency Mr. Nana AKUFO ADDO.

During the ceremony, the Ivoirian President shared his vision for developing a mutual interest between the public and private sectors. He emphasized the leading role that the private sector needs to play in the development of Africa, particulary, through the production and local processing of staple products

According to President Alassane OUATTARA, AFRICA CEO Forum aimed to open up new ways and speed up the economic transformation of African countries. The forum provided decision makers of both public and private sectors with a unique space in order to make pratical proposals and establish new partnerships to facilitate the implementation of the African continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which would account for a market of 2.5 billion people by 2050.

For the 8th edition organized around the central theme <<Sovereignty, Green Growth and Industrial Processing : the new Paths to African Prosperity>> more than 1500 participants are expected on June 13 to 14, 2022 to hold panel and round table discussions on means and actions to be taken to achieve prosperity of the African continent.

It is worth noting that Abidjan Port Authority, a major player of the national and sub regional economic development, attended this great event as a leading sponsor.
