TRANSET, THE SOUTH AFRICAN GROUP VISITED ABIDJAN PORT

As part of the Africa CEO Forum which took place in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire from  13 to 14 June, 2022, TRANSNET SA, the South African Group, the Authority in charge of the management of South African Ports and railways led by Mrs. Somers NEETA, Political Counselor at the Embassy of South Africa in Cote d’Ivoire held discussions with colonel COFFI YAO Emmanuel, Harbour Master of Abidjan Port, representing the Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority (PAA)

 

The South African delegation , through Mr. Derby PORTIA, CEO of TRANSNET SA said that they came not only to present their compliments to the Port Authority, but also to understand how the Abidjan Port was operated, and consider the cooperation opportunities and to get acquainted with PAA ‘s experience and know – how regarding the implementation of development projects.

 

TRANSET SA GROUP was part of the delegation which accompanied his Excellency Mr. Cyril RAMAPHOSA, the South African President during his visit to Abidjan on 03 December, 2022. The Top Executive said that she was impressed by the ambitious projects undertaken to modernize the port platform

 

Colonel COFFI YAO Emmanuel expressed his appreciation for the interest the South Africans have shown for Abidjan Port and was also delighted about the excellent cooperation links between Cote d’Ivoire and South Africa

After the discussions, the South African delegation went for a guided tour of the, port facilities.
