THE FRENCH MINISTER FOR ECONOMY AND FINANCE VISITED THE PORT FACILITIES

Outside a meeting of the Finance Ministers of the Franc Area, Mr Michel SAPIN, the French Minister for Economy and Finance visited the Abidjan Port’s facilities on Thursday 13 April 2017. The visit was aimed at revealing the economic development potential of the Abidjan Port Area. Mr Hien. Y .SIE Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority made a short presentation of the assets of his company going through the major projects initiated since 2014, including the modernization of the Fishing Harbour, the widening and deepening of the Vridi Canal coupled with the construction of a second container terminal together with the development of additional land space through the refilling of the Vridi –Bietry lagoon bay for the setting up of the new industries-Several French economic operators of the Abidjan Port platform who took part in the meeting also made a presentation of their activities.
