A DELEGATION OF BARCLAYS AFRICA WELCOMED AT ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

On Thursday 30 March 2017, a South African delegation of Barclays Africa Group was granted an audience by Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority. According to Mr. Carl OMONY, the visit was aimed at “getting acquainted with Abidjan Port’s investment projects and considering how to support projects waiting to be financed” However Mr. OMONY expressed his concern about the financing guarantee that his company is willing to provide for projects waiting to be financed. The Abidjan Port Authority’s M.D reassuringly replied that the Abidjan Port Authority is a reliable company placed under the supervision of a Ministry and this should not be a problem. Relieved to hear that, Mr. OMONY expressed his strong willingness to continue contacts with a view to providing for the financing expected by Abidjan Port Authority.
