TEACHING MATERIAL AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES OFFERED BY ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY TO THE HIGH SCHOOL “COLLEGE MODERN CITE DU PORT”
The Abidjan Port Authority’s Top Management asserted its commitment to promote, together with the Ivorian government, Ivorian educational excellence.
Thus, the Port Authority has just provided to"College Moderne Cite du Port (CMCP)" located in Treichville quantities of teaching material and school supplies valued at CFAF 2.5 million. The donation included 2 desktops computers, 2 laptops, 2 printers, 1 all-in one colour copier scanner printer, 2 inverters, 10 cardboards ream of A4 paper and 7 boxes of chalk sticks.
On behalf of the Managing Director, Mr Tiemoko CHERIF, Director in charge of Purchasing and Inventory Management in Abidjan Port Authority, provided a batch of materials for the use of Mrs. LEK PELI Florence, Regional Director of Abidjan 2 National Education, during a ceremony which took place on 31 August 2022 in the school compound, in the presence of Mrs Marie Dominique NIOULE, School Principal, of the staff members and the pupils of school.
On behalf of Pr Mariétou KONÉ, Minister of National Education and literacy Mrs LEK PELI Florence expressed all her gratitude to the Abidjan Port Authority for this praiseworthy initiative. She declared that this donation will contribute to improve the working conditions of the pupils and to enhance the quality of teaching / learning, and will have an impact on academic achievements.
She concluded that with such an initiative, the Abidjan Port Authority responded to the call of Pr Mariatou KONE who wants the Ivorian school to be everyone’s responsibility. In his address, Mr Tiémoko CHERIF reaffirmed the strong commitment of Abidjan Port Authority to support the Ivorian school. Recalling the circumstances which led to the donation, he explained that this action was in response to a request made by the administration of “College Moderne Cité du port” to be granted material by Abidjan Port Authority.
