Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) took part in an economic and commercial prospecting mission which took place from 13 to 17 March 2023 in Houston in the State of Texas, USA.

The mission which was jointly organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cote D’Ivoire (CCI-CI), the Department of Economic Promotion of the Embassy of Cote D’Ivoire to The United States, and the City Council of Houston had the main objective of promoting the Ivoirian Companies, and enabling then to have business opportunities and above all to establish partnerships with American firms and investors.

In front of the investors and development partners, Mr N’DOLI Kouadio André, Director of Engineering and Project Management in PAA, representing Mr Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director, made a presentation of the infrastructure carried out by the Port Authority over the last years in order to align Abidjan Port with international standards, make it more competitive and reposition it as a Hub Port on the maritime coast of West and Central Africa. The principal of the Managing Director also placed an emphasis on the development prospects of the Abidjan Port platform with its future projects.

The Ivorian delegation was received on Tuesday 14 March 2023 by the City Council of Houston in the presence of the Consul General of Côte D’Ivoire to New York, His Excellency Inza CAMARA.

Note that these days of exchange enabled to promote the Côte d’Ivoire’s destination among others, as well as the Abidjan Port infrastructure. The days also enabled to encourage and boost Ivoiro-American cooperation.

At the end of the mission, the Ivoirian delegation visited NASA and other leading advanced technology firms.

Note that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cote D’Ivoire is an organization which represents the interests of Ivoirian Commercial industrial and service companies. Its mission is to accompany, provide information and act as business advisor with those companies at all the stages of development.
