TECHNICAL PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRAIN TERMINAL OF ABIDJAN PORT
On Thursday 20 April 2023, TOA CORPORATION, a concessionary company in charge of the construction of Abidjan port’s grain terminal, made the technical provisional delivery of the new infrastructure to the Port Authority, represented on that occasion by Mr. N’DOLI Andre, Director of Engineering, Project Management, and by Colonel Emmanuel COFFI, Director of Maritime Operations Security and Environment.
The terminal will help to increase the handling capacity of grain traffic passing through Abidjan Port, bound for the Ivorian market and Hinterland Countries, namely Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
Once in operation, the terminal will enable Abidjan Port to accommodate bulk carriers carrying up to 55,000 to 70,000 tons of cargo as against 30,000 tons presently.
The provisional delivery was the sign of its inauguration in the near future.
