TRAINEE OFFICERS FROM THE NATIONAL GENDARMERIE SCHOOL VISIT THE ABIDJAN PORT

Officer trainees from the 47th National Gendarmerie Officer Training Course (CAOGN) visited the Abidjan Port on Tuesday 06 June 2023.

The visit which was part of their training, gave the twenty or so trainees an opportunity to immerse themselves in the realities of the Abidjan Port, given its importance in the implementation of the State's actions at sea.

The delegation, led by Lieutenant-Colonel Germain KOUASSI KOUADIO, Director of the CAOGN, was received by Mr Macky SANGARÉ, Director of the Digital Information System (DSIN), representing the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA).

During the presentation of the PAA, the Director of DSIN focused on port safety and security, the delegation's main area of interest. He also expressed his satisfaction at the choice of the Abidjan Port and assured the guests of the PAA's willingness to share its experience in this field.

The trainee officers of the 47th CAOGN come from several countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Togo, Niger, Senegal, Burkina Faso, the Central African Republic and Guinea-Conakry.
