NATIONAL EDUCATION: THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY RAISED TO THE RANK OF COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF MERIT OF NATIONAL EDUCATION.

On Wednesday 11 October 2023, the Award Ceremony in the Order of Merit of National Education took place in the Hall Room Kodjo EBOUCLE of ‘’Palais de la culture de Treichville’’. The Ceremony was organized by the Minister of National Education and Literacy and put in the honour 273 male and female, collaborators of the Ministry of National Education and Literacy, and also many other officials and partners committed to the development and revitalization of the Ivorian education system.

Mr Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority was raised to the Rank of Commander of the Order of Merit of National Education, for his exceptional contribution in the reform of the Ivorian Education System. These awards were also granted to 61 other eminent personalities including several members of Government, Governors, Ministers, Directors General of public and private companies, representatives of National and International Institutions and also technical and financial partners of the Ivorian School System.

In addition to the rank of commanders, 61 recipients were made officers and 150 made knights in the Order of Merit of National Education, namely media men and media women as well as artists singers and comedian artists.

Taking the opportunity of this ceremony, Pr Marietou KONE, Minister of National Education and Literacy expressed her gratitude to the recipients as well as all the members of the Educational Community for their continuous support to National Education.’’ School is everyone’s business. This is the reason why we are all gathered around it. Every day we have to face the challenges and confront obstacles on our way in order to reach our objective which is the training of quality human resources and, for the sustainable development of our country Thank to all of you for your services to the Ivorian school system’’. said the minister .

At the end of the award ceremony, Mr. Kobena Kouassi ADJOUMANI, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development expressed, on behalf of all the decorated top personalities, his gratitude to the big family of National Education.

As a typical product of the Ivorian School, Mr Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Public Works Engineer from ENSTP in Yamoussokro, remains committed to the values of Excellence. For this purpose, he is resolutely involved in the implementation of Education For All Policy. In Adiaké, a locality in which he is Deputy-Mayor, Mr Hien Yacouba SIÉ built a school complex (nursery and primary school). Moreover, he is involved is several actions in favour of the improvement of the educational landscape in Côte d’Ivoire, as illustrated in the support he has been providing for several years to the Mathematics Society of Côte d’Ivoire through ‘’Miss Mathematics’’ a national competition for which he is the sponsor. Moreover, at the start of each school year, he organizes the distribution of basic school supplies and teaching materials to students and schools.

For all these support and development stakeholders, this award is an invitation to continue their many actions to spread the radiance of the Ivorian school system.
