STANDARD AND POOR'S DISCOVERS THE ABIDJAN PORT
A delegation from Standard and Poor's (S&P) visited the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) on 26 October 2023, as part of the fifth review of the Côte d’Ivoire government's foreign currency sovereign rating by the agency, which took place on 25 and 26 October 2023.
The delegation, led by Mrs. Mamine KONE of the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance and Budget, was received by Mr. N'DOLI Kouadio André, Director of Engineering and Project Management at the PAA. He welcomed the visit, which he said was an eloquent testimony of the importance of the Abidjan Port to the economy of Côte d'Ivoire.
The representative of the Managing Director of the PAA also presented the new configuration of the Abidjan Port since the recent modernisation works. He placed particular emphasis on the second container terminal, which was the focus of the delegation's attention.
At the end of the meeting, the Standard and Poor's delegation took a guided tour of Abidjan's port facilities.
