THE ASSOCIATION DES ARMATEURS AFRICAINS SECTION CÔTE D'IVOIRE (ASA-CI) WAS RECEIVED BY THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY
A delegation from the Ivorian section of the African Shipowners Association (ASA-CI), led by its president, Mrs. YAPI Marie-Justine married BEBO, was received by the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, on Tuesday 27 February 2024.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the ASA-CI and its projects, for which the delegation had come to seek the support and guidance of the Port Authority with a view to obtaining the support and backing of the government to facilitate their implementation.
Mr. Hien SIÉ, while expressing his encouragement and congratulations for their initiatives, suggested that a framework for collaboration be set up between ASA-CI and the PAA, through the Sales, Marketing and Communication Direction, and the Maritime Operations, Safety and Environment Direction, in order to analyse the contours of the support requested.
It’s worth noting that the African Shipowners Association (ASA) was founded in 2011 in the United Kingdom and officially registered in South Africa in 2013. It is recognised by the African Union and by various maritime and port organisations.
