A BIG CRUISE SHIP NAMED NORWEGIAN DAWN CALLED AT ABIDJAN PORT
Côte d'Ivoire continues to attract cruise ships. Abidjan Port, Maritime Gateway par excellence of the country, received on Friday 29 March 2024, the NORWEGIAN DAWN, a somptuous Sailing Boat belonging to the NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE.
- Flying the Bahamas’ Flag; this cruise ship is to date, the biggest one which has called at Abidjan Port. 294.13 m in length, 32.20 m in width with 8.5 m draught, it had on board 4000 people including 3000 passengers and 1000 crew members.
Coming from Durban in South Africa, this giant of the seas of 40 decks made a one day stopover in order to allow its passengers to discover the tourist sites in the Greater Abidjan area.
-These passionates of sea journey visited the Craft Market of Marcory, the seaside town of Grand Bassam and the historical town of Bingerville.
-The calling of this sailing boat is the evidence of the efficient security and safety policy put in place by the Port Authority, but also of the touristic attractiveness of Abidjan destination with boaters.
Let's note that the NORWEGIAN DAWN was built in 2002 and renovated in 2016 to provide a true cruising experience.
