ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY TOOK PART IN THE 6TH EDITION OF ECOLOGY AND CLIMATE CHANGE DAYS

On Friday 26 April 2024, the 6th edition of Ecology and Climate Change Days took place at "Dahlia Fleur" a natural reserve located in Bingerville, under the theme: "Strengthening mobilization of climate financing to ensure a successful ecological transition.’’

Abidjan Port Authority an eco -responsible company, Certified in compliance with the ISO 14001/2015 environment standard attended the event.

These days organized by the Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition consisted in an exchange platform during which the participating experts held discussions on initiatives aimed not only, at reducing the carbon footprint, but also at promoting sustainable practices.

During the opening ceremony, Mr Jacques Assahoré KONAN, Minister of Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition indicated that “these African days on ecology and climate change serve as the first exchange forum on the good ecological practices and the promotion of green technology Moreover, these days provide a platform for the sharing of experience and expertise within the framework of the fight against climate change.”

The many participants in this event were urged to redouble their efforts to transform challenges into opportunities for sustainable development. To achieve this, the emphasis is to be put on the mobilization of the necessary financial resources, in order to ensure a greener and more resilient future for all.
