INFORMATION MEETING ON THE PROGRESS OF THE REHABILITATION WORKS IN THE PORT AREA

on Wednesday 08 May 2024, Mr Tahirou DIARRASSOUBA, Secretary General of Abidjan Port Community and Mr MONI N' Guessan Hyacinthe Deputy Director of Engineering and Project Management in Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), chaired an information meeting on the progress of two major projects aiming at improving mobility in Abidjan Port, precisely rehabilitating " Boulevard de Vridi" (known as Boulevard du port) as part of the Greater Abidjan Port-City project (PACOGA) and the Abidjan Transport project (ATP).

During the meeting which gathered the members of Abidjan Port Community, Mr Lionel ATINDEHOU Executive Director of the ATP Project at Millenium Challenge Account Côte d'Ivoire (MCC-CI) and Mr OULA Serge, Manager of Road Development Works Project in the Port on behalf of Agence de Gestion des Routes (AGEROUTE), went through the progress of the various works.

Their interventions were followed by exchanges which enabled all the stakeholders to agree on the arrangements necessary for the smooth running of port activities during the period remaining until the completion of the works.

As a recall, the Ivorian Government and that of the United States of America represented by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) signed agreements for the funding of various infrastructure projects in Côte d’Ivoire including the rehabilitation of “Boulevard de Vridi.”

These works are meant for improving the access to Abidjan Port, and the mobility of the goods and people in the Port and peri-port area.
