THE SPANISH AMBASSADOR TO CÔTE D'IVOIRE AT THE ABIDJAN PORT

HEM. Rafael SORIANO ORTIZ, Ambassador of Spain to Côte d'Ivoire, paid a courtesy visit to the Top Management of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) on Monday 03 May 2024.

Taking advantage of the stopover of the Spanish navy's maritime action ship (BAM) "FUROR" at the Abidjan Port, the diplomat was keen to pay his respects to the Port Authority. Accompanied for the occasion by Lieutenant-Commander Jaime MARQUEZ DE LA CALLEJA, Commander of the "FUROR", he met with the Abidjan Port's Commander, Colonel COFFI Yao Emmanuel, representing the Managing Director, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ.

Colonel COFFI Yao Emmanuel praised the excellent military cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and Spain, reflected in the presence of a Spanish warship in the Abidjan Port. He also reassured the ambassador that all the necessary steps had been taken to ensure that the stopover would take place under the best possible conditions.  

Note that the "FUROR" stayed in the Abidjan Port from 1 to 08 June 2024.
