6TH EDITION OF THE PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE IN GOVERNANCE AND PERFORMANCE OF PUBLIC COMPANIES : THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY HIGHLY COMMENDED

The 6th Prize for excellence in governance and performance of public companies, co-organised by the Ministry of State Assets, State Portfolio and Public Companies, and the Direction Générale du Portefeuille de l'État (State Portfolio Directorate), was held yesterday, on Wednesday 02 October 2024, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan.

The ceremony was presided by Mr. Moussa SANOGO, Minister for Assets, the State Portfolio and Public Companies, in the presence of Mr. Amadou KONE, Minister for Transport. It aimed to promote excellence and good governance within public companies and executive agencies.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), a state-owned company.

Indeed, the PAA, represented for the occasion by its Managing Director, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, accompanied by Mr. Almamy OUATTARA, Director of Finance and Accounting, was awarded the 2024 prize for economic and financial performance in the commercial sector.

That high distinction, which followed the 2023 national prize for excellence awarded by the President of the Republic, HEM. Alassane OUATTARA, for the best contribution to the development of the transport sector, confirmed the commitment of the Top Management of the PAA to work towards the development of the national maritime and port sector.
