THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING, STATISTICS, PROJECTS AND PERSPECTIVES OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT EXCHANGES WITH THE TOP MANAGEMENT OF ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY
The Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ received, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, a delegation from the Directorate of Planning, Statistics, Projects and Perspectives (DPSPP) of the Ministry of Transport, led by its Manager, Mr. Jean Marc ATCHÉ.
Abidjan Port, a major player in the transport sector in Côte d'Ivoire, caught the attention of Mr. Jean Marc ATCHÉ who said he came to learn about the operation and prospects of Abidjan Port Authority, especially in terms of development projects, after his recent appointment as head of this department.
This meeting was also an opportunity for Mr. ATCHÉ to congratulate the General Management of the PAA for the economic and financial performance award for the commercial sector obtained on October 2, 2024. This award is, in the opinion of the Director General of the DPSPP, a guarantee of good management and thus confirms the commitment of the Port Authority to work for the influence of the national maritime and port sector.
Mr. Jean Marc ATCHÉ, on this occasion, discussed important issues with a view to further strengthening collaboration between the department for which he is responsible and the PAA, which is under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport.
Speaking in turn, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ indicated that Abidjan Port Authority is willing ready to support the DPSPP in its policy of boosting the transport sector in Côte d'Ivoire.
This meeting, which was preceded by a tour of the port facilities, continued with B to B exchanges with sectoral departments of the PAA.
