ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY INVITED TO JOIN THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE IVORIAN-EMIRATI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

A delegation from the Sahil-Elaj Partnership (SAPA) or Ivorian-Emirati Chamber of Commerce, led by its Executive Director, Mr. DAWOULE Bohoussou Jean-Luc, was received by the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

According to Mr. DAWOULE, the purpose of the meeting was not only to introduce this economic cooperation structure between Côte d'Ivoire and the United Arab Emirates to the Port Authority but also to invite PAA to join the Executive Committee of the said chamber.

Mr. Hien SIÉ, who first expressed his gratitude for the interest shown in the company he runs, stated that this chamber could boost trade between Côte d'Ivoire and the Persian Gulf countries.

Furthermore, he indicated that beyond the commercial aspect, the Ivorian-Emirati Chamber of Commerce could help secure Saudi funding for the implementation of certain development projects at the Port of Abidjan. To this end, he urged his guests to continue discussions with PAA's Sectoral Directors to establish a fruitful collaboration
