DANGOTE CEMENT GROUP LAUNCHES OPERATIONS AT THE ABIDJAN PORT

The Côte d’Ivoire subsidiary of Nigerian conglomerate DANGOTE CEMENT has selected the Abidjan Port’s bulk terminal as the supply point for raw materials for its new cement factory. As part of this new partnership, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority, held talks on Friday, May 16, 2025, with a delegation from the group led by Mr. Sada LADAN-BAKI, Executive Director of DANGOTE CEMENT CÔTE D’IVOIRE.

This strategic discussion provided an opportunity to review the group’s projections for operations at the Abidjan Port and to establish a framework for strengthening this new partnership.

Mr. Hien SIÉ expressed his satisfaction and congratulated the group for choosing Côte d’Ivoire as the location for the construction of the cement factory, which is expected to start production soon. He reassured the delegation of his full commitment to ensuring the success of their operations at the Abidjan Port.
