2026 MATHEMATICS OLYMPIADS: THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY PRESENT AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 4TH MIT–SMCI PREPARATIVE COURSE

The General Management of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) honored with its presence, on Monday, January 5, 2026, the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the Mathematics Olympiad preparative course.

Organized by the Mathematical Society of Côte d’Ivoire (SMCI) in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), this intensive training session for high-level mathematics competitions runs until January 10, 2026, at the "Centre des Métiers d’électricité  Bingerville"(CME). It brought together 23 young participants under the age of 20, selected from among the best students in Ivorian secondary schools, with the aim of preparing these talented young Ivorians to excel on the international stage at the upcoming mathematics olympiads.

A longstanding partner of the Mathematical Society of Côte d’Ivoire through a five-year partnership running until 2027, the Abidjan Port Authority, through its participation, once again demonstrates the institution’s commitment to sustainably supporting the promotion of scientific disciplines among Ivorian youth.
