HANDOVER CEREMONY AT THE ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE OF THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

Formerly Deputy Director at the Engineering and Project Management Directorate (DIMO) of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Moni N’Guessan Hyacinthe was appointed Director of the department on December 19, 2025, by the Managing Director of PAA, Mr. Hien Yacouba Sié.

The official handover ceremony took place on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the meeting room on the 5th floor of PAA General Management building. The ceremony was held between Mr. Moni N’Guessan Hyacinthe and his predecessor, Mr. N’Doli Kouadio André, recently appointed Technical Advisor to the Managing Director.

In his address, Mr. N’Doli Kouadio André presented the achievements of his tenure, notably marked by his contribution to major modernization works carried out on the port platform. Commending the commitment and professionalism of his successor, he encouraged him, together with all collaborators, to continue efforts aimed at maintaining the Abidjan Port’s position as the leading port on the West African maritime scene.

Taking the floor in turn, Mr. Moni N’Guessan Hyacinthe expressed his gratitude to the Managing Director for the confidence placed in him. He reaffirmed his determination to continue ongoing projects, consolidate achievements, and support the implementation of the PAA’s strategic vision. He also praised the quality of collaboration maintained with his predecessor over the past fourteen years, a period during which he benefited greatly from his experience and guidance.

A graduate of the Ivorian education system, the new Director of DIMO is a Civil Engineer, trained at the prestigious National School of Public Works (ENSTP) of Yamoussoukro, now integrated into the Félix Houphouët-Boigny National Polytechnic Institute (INP-HB).

An Officer of the National Order of Merit and certified by UNCTAD in port management, Mr. Moni N’Guessan Hyacinthe is also an author, with around fifteen published works, the most recent of which, released in 2025, focuses on port administration and management.
