A DELEGATION OF LOUISIANA BUSINESS LEADERS VISITS THE ABIDJAN PORT

A commercial mission of American business leaders from Louisiana, led by the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the United States, H.E. Ibrahima TOURÉ, paid a working visit on Friday, February 13, 2026, to the General Directorate of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA).

Received by Colonel COFFI YAO Emmanuel, Harbour Master of the Abidjan Port, representing the port authority, the visit forms part of ongoing discussions initiated several months earlier regarding cooperation between the ports of Abidjan and New Orleans in the United States.

To enable the delegation to fully appreciate the potential and operational capacities of the Abidjan Port, a guided tour of the port facilities was organized. Participants discovered several major infrastructures including the Fishing Terminal, the first Container Terminal (TC1) and the premises of Ivoire Sûreté Portuaire (ISP).

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Ibrahima TOURÉ expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the discussions and the prospects for cooperation raised during the meeting.
