MASTERING FRAMEWORK AGREEMENTS: THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY STRENGTHENS THE SKILLS OF ITS EXECUTIVES

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the Training Centre of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) hosted a training session dedicated to mastering framework agreements, a modern contractual mechanism used in public procurement.

Organized in collaboration with the Directorate General of Public Procurement, the training was facilitated by Mr. Florentin KOFFI TRÉ, Deputy Director of Operations Control. It brought together several PAA’s executives to discuss the principles and modalities governing the implementation of framework agreements, defined as contracts through which the State undertakes, over a specified period, to conclude contracts with selected service providers according to its needs and for predetermined services.

At the end of this intensive session, participants enhanced their skills in drafting contractual clauses, optimizing competitive procedures for subsequent contracts, and complying with the applicable regulatory requirements.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Procurement and Stock Management, Mr. CHÉRIF Tiémoko, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative. He stressed the need for the officials concerned to fully appropriate this tool and turn it into a lever for efficiency and performance in the management of public procurement within the Abidjan Port Authority.

Through this training, the PAA reaffirms its commitment to the continuous strengthening of its teams’ skills and to the modernization of its practices in matters of governance and procurement procedures.
