THE ABIDJAN PORT TESTED ITS SECURITY SYSTEM

A full scale safety exercise took place on November 10th 2016 along Quay berth 1 of Abidjan Port. This exercise initiated by the Division of Maritime and Security Operations was the occasion for all stakeholders involved in the implementing of ISPS code in Abidjan Port (PFSO, DGAMP, Port Security Group Gendarmerie, Port firemen, Port security, IRES, GSPM, National Navy, Professional Security Academy, Customs) to simulate a terrorist attack in the port and, to deploy all the security means necessary to stem it. This large scale manoeuvres took place in the presence of many officials among which Colonel COFFI Yao Emmanuel, Harbour Master and the representatives of services involved in port safety.
