A cooperation meeting took place on Friday 24 th March 2017 in the Auditorium of Abidjan Port Authority firstly between the Port Authority and the Ivorian Customs and secondly, with the Hinterland operators on the other hand. The meeting dealt with road transit procedure which has been denigrated by the Hinterland’s shippers. Mr Amadou COULIBALY, Acting Ivorian Customs Director General said that “The Escort measure provided for in the transit procedure will be repealed.”. In order to reassure the Hinterland’s operators on the willingness of Ivorian authorities to facilitate transit operation After the discussions with the hinterland’s operators Mr N’gbala Etienne , Technical Advisor of the Abidjan Port Authority’s Managing Director Stated that the Abidjan Port Authority and the Ivorian Customs Administration are working on finding a solution to facilitate goods transit through Ivorian corridors.
