A good example of interport cooperation, such was the tripartite sister port agreement which  was signed  on Friday 26 May ,2017 between  Port Authority of Abidjan, San Pedro And Port of  Miami a leading US port .

The ceremony took place in the Ministry of Transport in the presence of Adama KONE, Minister accompanied by Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE and Hilaire LAMIZANA Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority and Managing Director of San Pedro Port Authority respectively.

The Miami’s delegation was represented by Mr. Juan KURYLA CEO, Port of Miami and Mrs. Audrey M.EDMONSON, Deputy Mayor of Miami City, Head of the American delegation.

Praising the agreement at its true value, which consolidates cooperation relationships between the different parties, Minister Adama KONE described the partnership as promising owing to the competitive potential of the Port of Miami and because of the Major role played by the two Ivorian Ports in the national and sub regional economy
