41st Council of PMAWCA and 16th Round Table of Managing Directors: Digitalization at the Heart of the Meeting

“A Digital Port as a Model of Port Efficiency” was the core theme through which the 41st Council of Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) and the 16th Round Table of Managing Directors opened, on 29 November 2021 at Best Western Plus Hotel of Douala, Cameroon.

With such a theme, the gathered experts were eager to exchange and share experiences about the extensive potential contained in the digitalization of port activities – an area still marginalized in some African ports.

The opening ceremony was marked by the welcoming address delivered by Mr. Cyrus NGO’O, Managing Director of the Port Authority of Douala, and Chairman of the Round Table too, then by the message of Mr. Michael LUGUJE, President of PMAWCA.

Following the opening ceremony, the day was dedicated to panels with various topics conducted by Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority.

The 41st Council which gathered high authorities of the member ports of PMAWCA, port business service suppliers and experts of maritime and port sector will end on next 3 December.
