ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY GIVES SUPPORT TO THE 2023 AFRICAN LITERATURE MISS CONTEST
The 3rd Edition of the African literature Miss Contest took place on Saturday 16 December 2023 in Abidjan at Centre National des Materiels Scientifiques ( CNMS) in the Municipality of Cocody.
Abidjan Port Authority as a partner of the edition enhanced the event by his presence.
Questioning on the motives of this participation,Mr CISSE Idrissa ,Deputy Director of the Commercial Marketing and Communication Director (DCMC),representing the Abidjan Port Authority stated that the support provided by PAA to this initiative falls within the framework of its corporate social Responsibility (CSR).
This is reflected in one of its major axis,which is the promotion of the excellence in school « previ we were at the side of the organizers of Mathematical Miss Contest of Côte d’Ivoire,now we are pleased to support those organizing the African ;Literature Miss Contest.These Commitments illustrate the interest of the Abidjan Port Authority’s Top Management to foster excellence in the area of education ». Mr CISSE Idrissa said .
As for the General Commissioner,Mr Jules BEGNI,the country representative of the African Literature Miss Contest,he welcomed the presence of PAA without guving thanks to Mr Hien yacouba SIE ,Managing Director who Spontaneously agree to support this celebration of excellence.
Initiated since 2016 by the Beninese author Carmen TONDONOU,the contest which aims at encouraging young girls to read and write,gathered eight (8) constestants originating from several African countries namely,Benin ,Burkina Faso,Cameroon,Côte d’Ivoire,Guinea Conakry,Mali,Chad and Togo.
At the end of this 3rd edition,miss Sagui Fousseni NAGNINI was elected Miss 2023 African Literature.
She was joined on the podium by the Chadian Florence NODJIKOUAMBAYE and the Burkinabe Christine ZOARMA who were the first and second runners-up Miss Literature.
Let us emphasize that Abidjan Port Authority obtained from the organizers,a special award for its participation and support to this 3rd Edition.
