On the sidelines of the exhibitions, Euromarine 2024 enabled maritime actors to discuss through workshops and conferences on four topics such as : Cyber Security (SEA-IT security)to fight against computer abuse ; Research (SEA research) to discover future technology linked to renewable marine energies and marine biotechnology ;Innovation ( S E A innovation) and Decontamination ( SEA protect) to promote new technologies for protection of rivers and seas.
The great innovation about this 2024 edition of Euromaritime was the launching of the first forum dedicated to maritime and port Africa which took place on 1st February 2024.
‘‘Initially, when after the first three editions in Paris,we relocated the show in Marseille,the purpose was to open the event unto the Mediterranean basin,Africa and the Middle-East". During the previous editions we held discussions with African maritime actors who attended the event and urged us to be more ambitious ;
We have then decided to organize the first Euro-African Maritime Forum.We held round tables,workshops,and discussions with many officials and high –level speakers such as Ministers, Port Directors and African senior officials’’ Mr Hugues du Plessis d’Argentré Director General of Euromaritime and Euronaval explained.
Note that PAA attended this important show on the invitation of Business France which is a structure that prepares businesses and connects business partners on target markets
