ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY TOOK PART IN THE WORLD CONSUMERS' DAY

Just like every 15 March, the 41th edition of the World Consumer's Day was commemorated on Friday 15 March 2024 in the "Salle des fêtes de la Mairie d'Adjamé".

The commemoration was aimed mainly at raising the awareness of consumers about their rights and duties. This 2024 edition was placed under the high patronage of His Excellency Mr Robert Beugré MAMBE, prime Minister in charge of Sport and Living Environment and the co-sponsorship of Dr Souleymane DIARASSOUBA, Minister of Transport, Mr Amadou KONE, Minister of Mining, Oil and Energy, Mr. Mamadou Sangafowa COULIBALY, Minister of Digital Transition and Transmission, Mr KONATÉ Ibrahim Khalil and Dr. Amedé KOUAKOU, Minister of Equipment.

The edition was jointly organized by the Ivorian Federation of consumers- Le Reveil (FIRC) and by the Guide de la Coalition Nationale des Organisations de Consommateurs de Côte d'Ivoire (CNOC-CI,) SOS Vie Chère and provided the opportunity for the participants to discuss around a panel organized on the theme ‘’ Equitable and Responsible Artificial Intelligence for the consumer".

Abidjan Port Authority, partner of this 41th edition was represented by Emmanuel, VOHO, Commercial, Marketing and Communication Deputy Director. When addressing the panel he underlined the importance of Abidjan Port in the national economy and particularly the impact of the new infrastructure carried out by the Port Authority on reducing the cost of living for the benefit of Consumers.
