THE ABIDJAN PORT WELCOMES THE FIRST VESSEL FROM “ONE” SHIPPING LINE

On May 6, 2025, the Abidjan Port welcomed the vessel ONE REPUTATION, marking the first stopover in Côte d’Ivoire by the Japanese Shipping Company Ocean Network Express (ONE). This strategic choice confirms the appeal of Container Terminal 2 (TC2), a modern and high-performance infrastructure serving major shipping lines.

Measuring 272 meters in length and 42.89 meters in width, the ONE REPUTATION sails under the Hong Kong flag. It operates under the new Africa-Asia route launched by ONE, which currently ranks as the world’s sixth-largest container ship operator, with an 8% global market share.

To commemorate this inaugural call, ONE Côte d’Ivoire, represented by its Managing Director Mr. Tom VERBEKE, organized a presentation cocktail on May 7 at the TC2 site.

The event was attended by representatives of the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority, including Port Commander Colonel COFFI Yao Emmanuel and the Director of Engineering and Project Management, Mr. N’DOLI Kouadio André, along with several partners and clients.

This networking occasion served to showcase ONE’s commercial ambitions in the West African market, positioning the Abidjan Port as a key stopover for its import-export operations between Africa and Asia.

The arrival of ONE strengthens the Abidjan Port’s position as a strategic, reliable, and competitive logistics hub for international shipping lines.
