The ultra-luxury cruise ship Silver Wind, flying the Bahamas flag, made another call at the Abidjan Port on Saturday, April 25, 2026, thereby confirming Côte d’Ivoire’s growing attractiveness on major international shipping routes.

Measuring 162 meters in length and 21 meters in width, this exceptional vessel arrived from Ghana with 480 people on board, including 236 crew members. On this occasion, passengers had the opportunity to discover some of the country’s emblematic sites, notably the Bingerville Botanical Garden, the majestic Banco Forest, and the historic town of Grand-Bassam, renowned for the richness of its cultural heritage.

Commissioned in 1995, the Silver Wind belongs to the fleet of Silversea Cruises, a global benchmark in the high-end cruise industry. Committed to a dynamic of innovation, the company is developing a new generation of vessels combining performance and sustainability, such as the Silver Nova and the Silver Ray.

Following this Ivorian stopover, the vessel will continue its itinerary along the West African coast, thereby contributing to the international prominence of the Abidjan Port as a leading cruise destination.
