On March 17th 2022, Colonel Emmanuel COFFI, Harbour Master of Abidjan Port received a delegation of the Dockers Labour Office (BMOD).

According to Mr. Stephane EHOLIE, CHAIRMAN OF BMOD’s Board of Directors, it was important for his delegation to come and present to the Port Authority the Office for the Management of Dockers Labour (BMOD) which is intended to establish a cooperative Corporate for a more efficient and collegiate management of Dockers Labour in both Abidjan and san Pedro Ports.

He also indicated that the project is a follow up of a decree issued, in January 2019, by His Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, which was to confer a more professional and comfortable status to the union of dock workers.

At the end of the meeting, Mr EHOLIE submitted the draft statutes of the office for the Management of Dockers Labour to the Port Authority for approval.
