CITIZEN ACTIONS: THE MANAGING DIRECTORS OF PAA AND CNTS-Ci: IN FAVOUR OF VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION

On Thursday 07 March 2023, Mr Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) received a delegation of Centre National de Transfusion Sanguine de Côte d Ivoire (CNTS CI) led by Pr Yassongui SEKONGO, its Director General.

The visit is part of CNTS-CI’s strategy for the research of blood donors. To that end, he argued that the Abidjan Port platform, in addition to its major role in the national economy abounds with a whole lot of potential donors who can help CNTS-CI to fulfill its mission. He also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the PAA’S fulfill to workers who regularly fulfill the needs of CNTS-CI.

Moreover, Pr Yassongui SEKONGO explained that CNTS-CI plays a vital role in the field of public health in Côte d'Ivoire. Thus, it works relentlessly to promote the culture of blood donation so as to ensure the availability of quality blood products in all the public and private health facilities for the benefit of the patients who need it most urgently.

Mr. Hien SIE, while expressing his appreciation for that visit, committed himself to urge the staff of his institution, as well as the workers of the port platform to donate blood more, which is an act of great social significance.
