COMPETITIVENESS OF AFRICAN SUPPLY CHAINS: TRIUM EXECUTIVE MBA GLOBAL LEADERS DRAWN TO THE ABIDJAN PORT
On Friday, June 27, 2025, the Abidjan Port Authority welcomed a delegation from the TRIUM Global Executive MBA, made up of executives and investors from more than 20 countries. This visit, organized by YAFOHI Travel agency, was part of a strategy to showcase Côte d’Ivoire’s strategic infrastructure and aimed to strengthen the attractiveness of the Abidjan Port as a major driver of national and regional economic development.
Received by the Managing Director, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, the visitors toured key facilities of the Abidjan Port, including the two container terminals, the ro-ro terminal, the grain terminal, and the fishing terminal. These facilities, modernized in recent years, reinforce the Abidjan Port’s position as a key logistics player in West Africa and as a gateway serving the hinterland countries of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
This immersion allowed investors to better understand the port’s operations, appreciate the modernization of its equipment, and identify potential investment opportunities.
The visit confirmed that the Abidjan Port is a strategic platform for both regional and international trade, handling more than 40 million tons of cargo annually. It has established itself as a driver of competitiveness, a pillar of sub-regional economic integration, and a partner of choice for investors seeking long-term presence in West Africa.
