THE CRUISE SHIP SEVEN SEAS VOYAGER CALLS AGAIN AT THE ABIDJAN PORT
After a first call recorded on June 16, 2025, the luxury cruise ship Seven Seas Voyager has once again called at Ivorian waters. The prestigious liner operated by the international company Regent Seven Seas Cruises, specialized in ultra-luxury cruises, docked at the Abidjan Port on Friday, January 2, 2026, with 592 passengers on board.
This new call, marking the vessel’s second visit to Abidjan, confirms the growing interest of high-end cruise operators in the Côte d’Ivoire destination. It also reflects the renewed confidence of prestigious operators in the Abidjan Port, recognized for the quality of its infrastructures and superstructures as well as its operational expertise in welcoming next-generation vessels.
During this stopover, passengers benefited from a tourism discovery program highlighting several emblematic sites of Greater Abidjan. The tour included visits to St. Paul’s Cathedral in Plateau, the Banco National Park, the National Costume Museum of Grand-Bassam, and the Bingerville Botanical Garden, offering an immersion into the cultural, historical, and natural richness of Côte d’Ivoire.
Built in Italy and commissioned in 2003 from the Port of Monte-Carlo, the Seven Seas Voyager measures 206.6 meters in length and 28.8 meters in width, with a draft of 7.1 meters. It features 353 suites and offers passengers a level of comfort and services that meet the most demanding standards of luxury maritime tourism.
The growing cruise traffic at the Abidjan Port is the result of a collective momentum driven by the strategic vision of His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic, and implemented by the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority, Mr. Hien Sié.
This strategic orientation, implemented through the continuous modernization of the Abidjan port platform and close collaboration with tourism sector stakeholders, positions the Abidjan Port as a key driver for the development of maritime tourism.
