A DELEGATION OF BRAZILIAN EXPERTS VISITS THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

Côte d’Ivoire and Brazil maintain excellent diplomatic and trade relations. In this context, a delegation of Brazilian experts visited the Abidjan Port Authority on Thursday, February 12, 2026, as part of a sanitary and phytosanitary inspection mission concerning Ivorian agricultural products destined for export to Brazil.

Led by H.E. Lamine KANTÉ, Counselor at the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in Brazil, the delegation included experts TIAGO Lohmann and Gutemberg Barone DE NOGOSA, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Crop Production and the Coffee-Cocoa Council.

Received by the Harbour Master of the Abidjan Port, Colonel COFFI YAO Emmanuel, the guests of the Port Authority were introduced, through a presentation, to the agricultural performance of Côte d’Ivoire, the traffic handled at the Abidjan Port, and its state-of-the-art infrastructures which facilitate the shipment of Ivorian agricultural products to Brazil. Special emphasis was also placed on the projects implemented in recent years to position the Abidjan Port as a leading port on the Atlantic coast of Africa.

During his address, Colonel COFFI YAO reassured the Brazilian delegation of the PAA’s commitment to supporting the development of international trade and maintaining the highest standards of quality in the management of cargo flows.
