A DELEGATION OF FRENCH EXPERTS IN THE MARITIME AND PORT SECTOR VISIT THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

A delegation of French companies specialising in the maritime and port sector, accompanied by ‘Business France-Côte d'Ivoire’, paid a two-day visit to the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) on Monday 30 September and Tuesday 1 October 2024.

Mr. Jean-César Lamert, Director of the Business France-Côte d'Ivoire office, who led the delegation, pointed out that the visit aimed to discuss the Port Authority's vision for the port's development, investments and projects. He also pointed out that the mission to Côte d'Ivoire was part of the strengthening of partnerships between Côte d'Ivoire and France.

In line with their areas of interest, the visitors had discussions with the various sectoral directions of the PAA with a view to presenting their various offers in the fields of logistics, development, sanitation, equipment maintenance, port safety and security. 

The French port and maritime experts were also able to visit the Abidjan Port's facilities, and discover the significant progress made over the last decade as a result of the modernisation work carried out by the Port Authority.
