A DELEGATION FROM QUEBEC IN ABIDJAN PORT

A delegation from Quebec led by Mr. Hubert BOLDUC, CEO of International Investment Quebec (IQ) which was on an economic mission in Cote d’Ivoire to take part in Africa CEO FORUM held from 13 to 14 June in Abidjan, visited the Abidjan Port’s infrastructure on Sunday 12 June, 2022 The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Pierre BELLROSE Regional Director of BOLLORE Logistics.

 

Prior to the touring of the facilities, the delegation was received by Commander AKAHI Franck André, Deputy Director of the Maritime Operation, Security and Environment Department (DOMSE) and Mr. MONY Hyacinte, Deputy Director in the Department of Engineering and Project Management (DIMO), both representing the Abidjan Port Authority.

 

The visit enabled the delegation to be acquainted with the new development infrastructures (mole of the Fishing Terminal the RoRo Terminal, the Vridi Canal…) and to value the various terminals available in the Abidjan Port area.

 

According to Mr. BOLDUC, this iniative was aimed at reinforcing cooperation between the Port of Abidjan and the Port of Montreal in Québec, but more importantly, to promote an ecosystem of suppliers of goods and services from Québec, who are able to offer future cooperation opportunities with Ivorian partners.
