Dr Yann Alix specialist in maritime and port subjects conducted a master class for Abidjan Port Authority's workers.

This framework of exchange was the opportunity to raise issues of competition among the ports in the West and Central African Region and highlight competitiveness factors and port performance indicators.

The speaker seized the opportunity to congratulate Mr Hiên Yacouba SIÉ, Director General of Abidjan Port Authority for his strategic governance which enabled Abidjan Port to be equipped with modern infrastructure in compliance with present maritime transport requirements.

During the master class, the expert who also is a writer, shared the content of his last book entitled "Histoires Courtes Maritimes et Portuaires Tome 2 - d'Afrique uniquement"- Short stories on Maritime and Port sectors - published by EMS MANAGEMENT & SOCIETE publishing.

According to the author, this literary work is a summary of two decades of observations, exchanges and discussions with Port Authorities, licensees,operators and investors, and many actors who contribute to the promotion of the African maritime and port industry.
