G5 VESSEL" GREAT ABIDJAN" ANNOUNCED SOON AT ABIDJAN PORT

The new class 5 ship named "GREAT ABIDJAN", a Con-Ro ship will call in Abidjan Port by mid- July 2024.

The information was released by Mr Vincent GRIMLER, Managing Director of Grimaldi to Mr Hien Yacouba SIÉ, the Abidjan Port Authority on 20 June 2024. He, then, invited the Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority to attend a ceremony organized for this purpose at the Headquarters of GRIMALDI.

Note that the ship named "GREAT ABIDJAN" which increased in last April, the number of the most important and modern fleet of Grimaldi Group, is the fourth of the six multi-purpose Ro-Ro units belonging to the innovative G5 class.

With a length of 250 meters, a width of 38 meters and a capacity of 45684 tons, this giant of the seas was designed after a careful study of the requirements of the shipowner and his clients.

Thanks to an innovative and fully customized internal configuration, the class G5 Ships is capable of carrying 7400 linear meters of rolling cargo, 2500 CEU's (Car equivalent unit) and 2000 TEU's.

 This vessel stands out through its advanced technological solutions aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing the impact on the environment.
