THE HARBOUR MASTER OFFICE OF THE PORT OF ABIDJAN PERFORM A THEORETICAL SECURITY EXERCISE ON PAPER.

As part of the application of the ISPS Code, the Department of Maritime Operations, Safety and Environment (DOMSE), under the supervision and observation of the ASP CI1 / PFSO structure, safety expert, organized a table simulation, July 22ND, 2021.
Unlike other exercises that take place in the field (on one or more specific sites of the port facilities), the theoretical simulation is carried out and coordinated from a meeting room bringing together all the actors involved in safety and security at the Port of Abidjan, with the support of other actors, present in another room and simulating their presence in the theater of operations.
This exercise focused on the simulation of an attack by armed bandits on certain facilities of the Port of Abidjan.
Overall, the exercise took place in good conditions with an appreciated coordination of the intervention of each of the port safety and security actors including the Port Authority, Port Security, the gendarmerie, the police, the APA Fire Brigade, the APA Medical Center, the APA Communication Department, and those in charge of the safety and security of companies located at the port of Abidjan.
