AN IMPORTANT DELEGATION FROM THE AUTONOMOUS PORT OF DAKAR ON A WORKING MISSION TO THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD), Mr. Moussa SY, accompanied by his Vice-Chairman, who is also the Secretary General of the Senegalese Government, Mr. Alioune Badara DIOP, led an important delegation of his institution to the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) on Tuesday 26 April 2022.

According to the Head of the delegation, the objective of this working mission is to draw inspiration from the approach, model and experience of the PAA in terms of the Single Port Window. Mr. Moussa SY also pointed that the PAD is present in Côte d'Ivoire through a collaboration with the WEBB Fontaine group for the upcoming deployment of a Single Window Port Facility in Senegal. He also recalled that the project to digitize the Senegalese port system is part of the implementation of the transformation plan of the Autonomous Port of Dakar. The PAA, which is experimenting with this project through the Single Window for Foreign Trade (GUCE), is therefore a reference in this area for the PAD.

Receiving the mission, the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority, Mr. Hien SIE Yacouba said he was very honored by the interest that the PAD has shown in port management and assured of his availability to support the PAD in its approach.

The meeting ended with a visit to the Abidjan Port’s facilities.
