LAUCHING OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE MUTUAL SOCIETY OF WORKERS OF ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY (MA-PAA)

On March 26th,2022 the ceremony for the official launching of the activities of the Mutual Society of workers of Abidjan Port Authority (MA-PAA) took place.

Born from the will of Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director to provide port workers with a strong organization contributing to their well-being MA-PAA was created on October 20th, 2021 following the constitutive General Assembly of the same date.

After several months of consultation, the Board of Directors chaired by Mr. DAH SANSAN, Director of Legal Affairs at PAA, decided to launch officially the activities of MA-PAA and present to all the workers the services provided through the organization.

In opening the series of speeches, he took the opportunity on behalf of all the workers, to thank the Managing Director of PAA for his thought leadership and firm commitment to work for the well being of salaried employees.

Thereafter, the Executive Secretary of the Organization Mrs Maty BAKAYOKO SYLLA, Head of Budget Control in the Direction of Finance and Accounting in PAA, made a presentation of the projects of MA-PAA.

This was followed by a series of questions to lighten dark areas and misunderstanding of salaried workers present at the ceremony.

On behalf of the Managing Director, Mr. Magloire Assi ACHY, Director of Control, Audit and Quality Management recalled that the creation of the mutual organization is part of the strategic orientations of the PAA’s Top Management’s social policy, and the willingness of the Top Management to support all the identified projects.

 

He urged, on behalf of the Managing Director, all the workers to take ownership of this newborn mutual society which is everyone’s responsibility.

The launching of the organization will be followed by an information tour to the attention of each sectoral direction so that all the workers be reached out.
